The Ondo State Police Command on Monday said it had arrested three members of staff of Air Peace Limited who allegedly participated in the burgling of the Akure Airport office of the company.

It had been reported that some hoodlums burgled the office of the airline and went away with undisclosed amount of money.

According to the police, the suspects arrested are Moses Hussain, 25; Charles Uwabwe 26; and Kingsley Oginaki, 32, who are members of staff of the company.

The Public Relations Officer of the state command, Femi Joseph, said one of the suspects, Moses Hussain, confessed to the crime, but the other two denied involvement.

The PPRO said about N1m was stolen from the office, noting that the money had been recovered.

He said, “Hussain has confessed that he masterminded the crime. He said he used an axe to break the safe of the company and packed all the money inside it.

“We are still interrogating the other two suspects. If we discover that they are innocent, we will release them.”

Joseph added that Hussain would soon be charged to court .
