WARRI—Nigerian Leaders have been charged to extend a hand of fellowship to the less privileged in the society, so as to make the society a better place.

The charge was given in Warri by the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church, Reverend Doctor Okoroji Justin and the Chief Inspector of Education, Warri South Local Government, Mrs. Ojimah represented by Mrs. Oki Awoyinka, who said the Delta State Government under the leadership of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has done well in the education sector and that Government cannot do it alone hence good spirited Nigerians, NGOs, Churches among others should support Government at all levels in creating a better society.

The Chief Inspector of Education said the Baptist church Nigerian has touched the lives of people all over and commended the Warri Branch for giving free education to adults in the State, irrespective of religious background and tribe.

The Senior Pastor, Reverend Okoroji Justin Jr. said the First Baptist Church, Warri Adults School is open to all free from primary one to Senior Secondary 3 and that it is the only way the Church can give back to the society what the society has given to it.

He noted that over the years the adults education centre has graduated students from primary to secondary. Earlier a guest Speaker, Pastor Sunny Aghe said Churches’ should help in teaching the word of God, stressing that the word of God adds value to the growth and development of the society. Pastor Aghe acknowledged the effect of the members of First Baptist Church for contributing their quota to the education sector. For her part the coordinator of the adult education programme, Mrs. Mary Aghoghovwia noted that the adult education  promotes property, discipline  amongst other. Mrs. Aghoghovwia commended the Students for their determination to read and write well. The First Baptist Church Warri.
